Unlocking Zimbabwe's Horticulture Potential: A Collaborative Vision for Growth

20th Mar 2025 in

NMB Bank is proud to have co-hosted the Horticulture Roundtable alongside Ecobank Zimbabwe, with expert facilitation from Rabobank (Rabo Partnership)—the third-largest Food and Agriculture bank globally. This pivotal event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including government representatives, regulatory bodies, financial institutions, agribusiness players, and commerce leaders, all with a shared commitment to unlocking Zimbabwe’s horticulture potential.

A Unified Approach to Agricultural Growth

Horticulture remains one of Zimbabwe’s high-potential sectors, but unlocking its full value requires a coordinated effort. The Roundtable provided a platform to address both the challenges and opportunities in the sector, ensuring that all key players are aligned towards sustainable growth.

One of the event’s key outcomes was the adoption of Vision 2035—a strategic framework designed to guide Zimbabwe’s horticulture sector towards greater productivity, value addition, and international competitiveness. This vision will steer targeted workstreams that will shape policies, financing solutions, and operational efficiencies leading up to the next stakeholder engagement.
